Now Available: Workforce Contact Information
Whether it is to send a thank-you note, birthday card, or holiday greeting, workforce volunteers are requesting contact information of other workforce volunteers. We have therefore created a file in Igloo to house this information. You will find it in Files > Resources > Volunteer Resources > Workforce Contact Information. It will also be listed as one of the Helpful Links at the bottom of each issue of The Update. It is also helpful to other volunteers if you keep your contact information updated in your Igloo profile. We have created a short tutorial video that explains how to quickly update your profile. This video is one of the many helpful Igloo videos that reside in the Knowledge Center. The Knowledge Center button is below the top black bar on the Igloo home page.
Headquarters Closing
Headquarters will be closed Monday, September 4, in celebration of Labor Day.

Support for Houston-area Thetas: Our thoughts are with our sisters affected by Hurricane Harvey, particularly those in Houston who have been forced to evacuate due to heavy flooding and rain. We are keeping in close touch with our college and alumnae chapters in Harvey’s path to confirm members’ safety and assist however we can. We will post any updates on the Kappa Alpha Theta Facebook page. We appreciate you keeping us informed as you hear any news.
Experts are calling Harvey a “once-in-a-million-years” storm, and many sisters’ homes have sustained serious flood damage. If you would like to help, consider making a donation to Theta’s Friendship Fund, which was created to help Theta sisters experiencing severe financial distress, catastrophic illness, natural disaster, and urgent family crisis.

Day of Service 2017
Theta’s ninth annual Day of Service is a little more than six weeks away. Mark your calendar for October 19! Stay tuned for further details on our 2017 Day of Service plans and resources.
Theta Foundation Chapter & Individual Grants
Quarter 1 Chapter & Individual Grant applicants will be notified of their status tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30. The Quarter 2 application deadline is October 18, 2017, for programs beginning on or after December 1, 2017.
