USA Today published a collection of articles relating to sorority recruitment at the University of Alabama. Two articles were more informative, breaking down frequently used sorority words like “pref” and “bid day,” and outlined the recruitment process and its popularity on social media. The third article revisits Kylan Darnell, a University of Alabama sorority member who went viral last year for documenting her recruitment journey. Kylan has since become an influencer and is represented by a management company. The article reports on how social media and viral events like Bama Rush can affect the developing brains of young people who gain exposure from documenting their experiences online.

Theta Holiday Closing

Fraternity, Theta Foundation, and Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC) offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, in recognition of Labor/Labour Day.

Workforce Opportunities

The DEI committee is seeking volunteers to fill two different committee roles: supporting chapters and providing education and training.
