The Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC) continues to defend and enhance the Greek Life experience. Although we were not able to convene in Washington this past April, we have continued our efforts to meet and support Congressional candidates.
Theta and individuals have been involved since 2005 advocating for these initiatives. Thanks to generous personal contributions, Theta is represented on the FSPAC board by Laurie Connor (also a member of the FSPAC executive committee), Betsy Corridan, Laura Doerre, and Cindy Stellhorn (who also serves as president of the Fraternity and Sorority Action Fund). Four is the maximum number of representatives any one North America Interfraternity Conference (NIC) or National Panhellenic Council (NPC) group may appoint.
We want you to be informed about the organization of political actions committees (PACs) in general and the FSPAC specifically. This informative presentation should answer any of your specific questions. Please contact Director of Government Relations Laurie Connor for additional information.
Yesterday marked the official conclusion of Theta’s Sesquicentennial Pansy Patch and we could not be more grateful for every pansy sent in honor of special Theta sisters and friends. Next week, Theta Foundation will share a final Pansy Patch update on the number of pansies sent and the total dollars raised in support of Theta’s educational and leadership pursuits.
Even though Pansy Patch 2020 is over, you can still support Theta sisters as they pursue the widest influence for good. You can give to Theta Foundation all year long at www.givetotheta.org.
After more than a year and a half with our new technology platforms, we want to continue using the correct terminology.
Theta website: Everything in front of the login—Theta’s public-facing information for members and non-members.
Theta Portal: The platform in which we conduct Theta business.
Chapter portal: Where chapter-specific information and resources reside. Alumnae chapter officers and members and college chapter officers, members, and advisors have access to this area by clicking “Select Chapter” in Theta Portal.
ChapterSpot: The vendor that supports both Theta Portal and the chapter portal.
Therefore, you can refer to Theta Portal > chapter portal when sending officers or members to find training or documentation and ChapterSpot when sending them to customer support. Thank you for helping to model these best practices for our volunteers and members!
Can’t remember who to contact with questions? The Workforce Communication Guide has just been updated for your use. It is always available in Igloo > Files > Resources > Volunteer Resources. Remember that this is for workforce volunteers only and should not be shared with advisors or chapter officers.
