Workforce Contact Information
Whether it is to send a thank-you note, birthday card, or holiday greeting, we have received requests from workforce volunteers looking for the contact information of other workforce volunteers. Currently we cannot push the information from Theta’s database to Igloo. As a solution, we have created a short tutorial video that explains how to quickly update your Igloo profile so that the approximately 150 volunteers with Igloo access can reach you. This video is one of the many helpful Igloo videos that reside in the Knowledge Center. The Knowledge Center button is below the top black bar on the Igloo home page.
Spring Reestablishments
When Theta opens a new college chapter, the establishment weekend consists of the recruitment kick-off event at which a formal presentation is made to potential new members (PNMs) and an individual interview is held with each PNM, and concludes with bid day and the Pledge Service. This month brought two reestablishment weekends.
Originally installed in 1946, the Gamma Kappa Chapter at George Washington University closed in 1976. During the weekend of February 10-12, 85 new members accepted a bid to join the Gamma Kappa Chapter that will officially be installed on March 25.
The Epsilon Nu Chapter at Virginia Tech was originally installed in 1983 and closed 20 years later in 2003. One hundred ninety women accepted a bid during the weekend of February 17-19, to join the Epsilon Nu Chapter that will officially be installed April 22.
Thank you to the teams of local alumnae, volunteers, and staff who made both reestablishment weekends a success!
Ritual Celebration Week and International Badge Day
During the week of March 5 through11, Theta will again participate in Phi Mu’s Ritual Celebration Week, which includes the National Panhellenic Conference’s International Badge Day on Monday, March 6. Be sure to wear your badge and share a photo to social media using #BadgeDay17!
Learn how you can celebrate our ritual next week. This year, our content will center on the theme #ThetaRitualMeansToMe. We will also examine the enduring legacy of Theta's ritual and the role it has played in Theta history over the years. Stay tuned!
