The volunteer role formerly titled permanent alumnae secretary (PAS) has been changed to alumnae contact officer (ACO), effective Jan. 1, to better reflect the volunteer role and responsibilities.
Each college chapter (active and inactive) has an ACO. It is this volunteer’s responsibility to ensure that all the women from her chapter remain connected to the Fraternity. She does this by finding “lost” Thetas: women for whom we no longer have current contact information. For a bit of historical perspective, the role was established in 1907 and the name was copied from what colleges were calling their alumni relations staff at that time.
Laura Easter, budget district director (BDD) in College District XIII, is resigning from her position. Congratulations to Laura on the birth of twin girls/legacies! If you are interested in this role, please submit the Volunteer Interest Indicator (login required). Questions about the role and responsibilities can be forwarded to Collegiate Finance Manager Christine Lorkowski.
The Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee and the Fraternity and Sorority Action Fund are hosting a Tele-Town Hall meeting on Monday, Jan. 28, at 8:30 p.m. EST for current and prospective donors. For call-in details, please visit this link. Thanks to those who have contributed in the past and welcome to those who are considering contributing to this important effort which supports our Greek community. If you have questions, please contact Director of Government Relations Laurie Connor.
