Kappa Alpha Theta will hold Session 1 of the Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) this Thursday-Sunday, July 12-15, at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. ELI provides leadership education and development to undergraduate members, with an emphasis on emerging leaders. The curriculum focuses on increasing skill development and understanding leadership as a relational process. Any undergraduate Theta who considers herself an emerging leader was encouraged to apply. Emerging leadership is defined not by age, but rather by experience with leadership education and development. The 48 students attending Session 1 represent 38 different college chapters.
Follow along on Theta’s social media outlets with #ThetaELI18! If you have any questions regarding ELI, please contact Victoria Stankus, assistant director of education and leadership.
This year’s educational leadership consultants (ELCs) are currently training at headquarters to provide support to our chapter and collegians. The 2018-2019 ELC Directory has information about, and pictures of, the ELCs.
The applications and application guides for 2018-19 Chapter and Individual Grants are posted on Theta’s Apply for Scholarships & Grants page. The Quarter 1 deadline is July 18 for programs beginning on or after September 1. Direct any questions to Theta Foundation’s Programs Manager Mary Kate Kronzer.
