Industry Update Provided by NPC
The NPC Media Sweep distributed by email from NPC on May 31 contained an incorrect link to an article about George Washington University’s policy banning single-sex fraternities and sororities. The preceding link is correct.
Grassroots Update and Webinar Invitation
Two important pieces of legislation that the Fraternity Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) has been working toward—the Collegiate Freedom of Association Act (CFAA) and the END ALL Hazing Act—are being introduced in Congress in the coming days. You may be asking, “What are these acts, and how do they impact my organization and the greater fraternity and sorority experience?”
NPC is hosting a webinar designed specifically for headquarters staff and key volunteers to explain the CFAA and END ALL Hazing Act with the team for lobbying firm Arnold & Porter.
CFAA Webinar With Arnold & Porter
Tuesday, June 11, 2 pm Eastern
Note: the webinar will be recorded and made available after the event.
Year-End and Expense Reports
The Fraternity’s 2018-19 fiscal year ends June 30. Because some of your expenses may be for the 2019-20 fiscal year, please note on your submitted expenses if they are for the 2018-19 or 2019-20 fiscal year.
2018-19 expenses will be accepted until, but no later than, July 31. No exceptions to this deadline will be granted, as the Fraternity’s audit begins in August. Please submit your invoices in a timely manner. Also remember that, in accordance with the Fraternity’s travel policy, only expenses submitted within 90 days of expenditure will be reimbursed. If you have any questions, please contact your staff partner.
