Revised Ritual Book is Now Available

An updated edition of the Ritual Book is now available online and in the OP (Officer Portal) Document Library under Manuals. This version is streamlined with new clear diagrams illustrating service set-up and performance. Several services that were in the previous version are now located in more logical places.

• The Ceremony Honoring Retiring Grand Council Members and the Installation of Grand Council and Transfer of Badges are now available to Grand Council members, as they are not used by any other groups. The ceremonies will still occur at Grand Convention, and all attendees will be able to view them on the final night.
• Installation of Alumnae Chapter Officers may now be found in the Alumnae Chapter Handbook.
• Founders Day Service has an ever-expanding toolkit on the website. The focus of the event is not ritual, but a celebration of our founders. We will continue to offer best practices, templates, timelines, etc. via the toolkit.
• The Graduating Senior Service is turning into a Graduating Senior Celebration toolkit, which will be available in the OP Document Library under Resources.
• The Funeral or Memorial Service is available on the website to non-Thetas as well as Thetas, as we want this resource to be available to the families of deceased Thetas.

Updates have been made to services to make them easier to set up, participate in, and understand. The glossary has new entries. The meaning behind our beautiful ritual has not changed. The following items are included in the updated version.

Workforce Update

Tori Irwin has resigned as Fraternity facility consultant (FFC). Melissa Dvorocsik is back from maternity leave and is taking on Tori’s chapters as FFC.

Year-End and Expense Reports

The Fraternity’s 2016-17 fiscal year ends June 30. Because some of your upcoming expenses may be for the 2016-17 fiscal year, please note on your submitted expenses if they are for the 2016-17 or 2017-18 fiscal year. We appreciate your assistance in this area.

2016-17 expenses will be accepted until, but no later than, July 31. No exceptions to this deadline will be granted, as the Fraternity’s audit begins in August. Please submit your invoices in a timely manner. Also remember that, in accordance with the Fraternity’s travel policy, only expenses submitted within 90 days of expenditure will be reimbursed. If you have any questions, please contact your staff partner.
