Year-End and Expense Reports
The Fraternity’s 2016-17 fiscal year ends June 30. Because some of your expenses may be for the 2016-17 fiscal year, please note on your submitted expenses if they are for the 2016-17 or 2017-18 fiscal year.
2016-17 expenses will be accepted until, but no later than, July 31. No exceptions to this deadline will be granted, as the Fraternity’s audit begins in August. Please submit your invoices in a timely manner. Also remember that, in accordance with the Fraternity’s travel policy, only expenses submitted within 90 days of expenditure will be reimbursed. If you have any questions, please contact your staff partner.

Social Media Snapshot
National Social Media Day: Friday, June 30, is National Social Media Day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to encourage new social media followers. Be sure to tag some sisters in Theta’s announcement to encourage them to follow us on social media.
Canada Day: Canada Day is this Saturday, July 1. Canada is celebrating its sesquicentennial this year, much like our beloved sisterhood will celebrate in just two and one-half years! We will honor Canadian Thetas with a post providing some history on Kappa Alpha Theta’s presence in Canada. Help us send some love to our northern sisters by sharing Theta’s post on Facebook or Twitter.
Virtual Tour of the Bettie Exhibit: Be on the lookout for a special video tour of the exhibit Bettie and Her Family: Four Generations of Thetas. Featuring many items owned by Bettie Locke Hamilton and her daughters, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter, this special exhibit was open at Theta headquarters from January through June. Many Thetas expressed interest in the exhibit but were unable to visit Indianapolis during its run. Staff Archivist Noraleen Young and Digital Media Manager Lauren Palmer filmed a tour of the exhibit so that Thetas all over the world can virtually experience it. The video will be on social media and the heritage website within the next two weeks, and for more details on the exhibit, please visit Theta’s heritage site.
