Members of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at Florida State University (FSU) were offered a plea deal from the Florida State Attorney’s office in connection to charges on the hazing-related death of a fraternity pledge. Andrew Coffey died Nov. 3 after being found unresponsive at a party. The announcement has been covered by WFSU Public Media, NBC News, News 4 Jax, ABC 10 News, and the Star Tribune. FSUNews.com reports that a three-month ban on Greek life activities has been partially lifted to allow philanthropy and recruitment events at the university. The administration also unveiled stricter policies on Greek life activity at the university.
Police have charged a Clemson University student with falsely accusing a fellow student of sexual assault at a fraternity party. Investigators have said that they found the act to be consensual and claimed that the student “had not been truthful in the information.” Sarah Katherine Campbell, the student accusing her fellow student of sexual assault, denies the police’s claims and says she is being unfairly charged. Workforce Update
Kelsey Hannah, budget district director (BDD) in College District VI, will resign from her position at the end of the school year. Kelsey will remain in office until Grand Council appoints her replacement and will assist in the transition of the new committee member.
