Additional universities are closing student housing, including housing for students in fraternity/sorority life. This week, Mississippi State University, Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania were among those announcing campus housing closures.

The Washington Post reports that many colleges and universities have announced a delayed deadline for admission acceptance in the face of the coronavirus crisis. Decision day for these institutions will now be June 1, a full month later than the original deadline.
The Chronicle of Higher Education has published a report titled "When Emergency Strikes: Lessons From College Closures" that examines what worked for campuses that previously experienced disasters, such as the University of Iowa during Iowa River flooding, Rice University and Hurricane Harvey, Tulane and Hurricane Katrina, and others.

News surrounding the coronavirus seems to change day by day, sometimes moment to moment. We don’t know when the disease the virus causes will be contained or what the ultimate outcomes of this pandemic will be … this is definitely a time of uncertainty!
But since our founding 150 years ago, Thetas have experienced good times, bad times, and in-between times. During all of these, our sisterhood has supported and uplifted us and helped us be resilient and strong. With patience, kindness, and perseverance, we will all come through this.
