On Friday, March 16, the University of Maryland lifted the unconstitutional cease and desist order on all Panhellenic chapters that had been in effect since March 1. When the ban was lifted, the university levied allegations of hazing and inappropriate conduct against five men's organizations, but not a single Panhellenic chapter incurred any allegations. The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is continuing to engage in various advocacy strategies to make sure this type of egregious overreach by an administration does not occur on other campuses.

Theta has launched our first-ever learning management system. The LMS will house Theta’s online courses and training modules moving forward. With this exciting new tool, we can use industry-standard technology to build courses, and we can track which members have taken each course. Members can link to the LMS directly in the Chapter Portal, which is where they were already accessing our training webinars.
This month, courses for the Leadership Certificate Program and officer training debuted. Each officer has three courses: (1) Introduction to Holding Office, (2) Leadership 101, and (3) an officer-specific/programming area-specific module about each respective role (the third course is also available to the relevant advisor).
The advisor training program is also being updated and new courses are planned to be released in late spring. The member orientation program is also being updated; a new program and modules will be available for new members this fall. Please contact leadership@kappaalphatheta.org with any questions.
