Fraternity Staff Anniversaries

Fraternity headquarters prides itself on the longevity of staff and is pleased to announce the following staff members have celebrated milestone anniversaries this year.

Director of Alumnae Engagement Liz Drake and Director of Education and Leadership Melissa Shaub were recognized for five years back in the office after pursuing other job opportunities outside of Theta. Assistant Director of Finance Julia Osburn and Digital Media Manager Lauren Palmer celebrated five years of service, and Website Content Manager/Digital Analyst Lisa Thibault has been on our team for 10 years. Congratulations, and thank you!

#NRCW17: It’s Ritual Celebration Week! Be sure to share how ritual has impacted your life using the hashtags #ThetaRitualMeanstoMe and #NRCW17. Also, look for some interesting content celebrating Theta’s ritual this week, including Snapchat takeovers from several chapters:

• Tuesday, March 7: Zeta Upsilon/UT-Dallas will take over Theta’s Snapchat during the chapter’s ritual appreciation event.
• Wednesday, March 8: Zeta Theta/Cal Poly’s chief education officer, Ella Zarren, will highlight the personal ways Theta’s ritual has impacted her life, and she will also interview other members of the chapter about ritual’s meaning for their lives.
• Thursday, March 9: The former and current ritualists of Rho/Nebraska will offer a look at the chapter’s recent efforts to increase understanding and awareness of Theta’s ritual among chapter members, an effort that has been quite successful!

International Women’s Day: Wednesday, March 8, is International Women’s Day, and Theta plans to celebrate the power of our leading women. Be sure to follow Theta’s social media content and share it.

2017 Theta Foundation Scholarship Application Deadline Tomorrow

Remind potential applicants that the deadline for Theta Foundation’s 2017 Scholarship Application is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. EST. All application resources, including the 2017 Scholarship Application Guide and Frequently Asked Questions, are on Theta Foundation’s website. Applicants with questions can contact Theta Foundation Programs Coordinator Mary Kate Kronzer.

Thetas Attending 2017 National CASA/GAL Conference

Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation is pleased to announce the four collegians who will attend the 2017 National CASA/GAL Conference March 11–14 in Seattle as part of Theta’s official delegation.

• Barani Maung Maung, Eta Mu/Occidental
• Faith Moses, Alpha Epsilon/Brown
• Rebeca Trujillo, Gamma Mu/Maryland

Theta’s delegation will serve as conference volunteers and will attend breakout sessions on child welfare-related topics. They will also present the 2017 Kappa Alpha Theta CASA/GAL Program Director of the Year Award. Follow their conference experience on Snapchat on Monday, March 13, and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram throughout the conference.
