Volunteer Survey
The Fraternity's annual volunteer survey was sent to all current volunteers via email yesterday (Oct. 2) with a deadline of Oct. 15. This survey is critical in guiding volunteer resources and support. Any questions can be sent to volunteerengagement@kappaalphatheta.org. Thank you for your input!
Committee Chairman Vacancies
As we reach the six-year mark of the workforce reorganization, four standing committee chairmen (College Chapter Budget Committee Chairman Nicole Frank, Recruitment Committee Chairman Cate Bibb, Risk Prevention Committee Chairman Cynthea Yestal, and Scholarship Committee Chairman Christa Sobon) must leave their positions after completing two three-year terms in a single office.
If you are interested in any of these positions, please submit the online volunteer interest indicator form no later than Oct. 15. Job descriptions for each of these positions can be found in Igloo under Files > Resources > Volunteer Resources > Chairman and District Director Job Descriptions.

- Check out the new college chapter pages on the heritage website. Each chapter’s page provides installation/reinstallation dates, a short statement about its founding, a gallery of notables from that chapter, a list of selected national officers from that chapter, first-place awards given at Grand Convention from 1917 to present, and documents about the early history of that chapter (in most cases, Theta magazine article(s) about the chapter’s installation/reinstallation). You can even create a PDF report of either the page’s entire contents or a summary version of the content for that chapter. Each chapter page provides a good overview of the chapter’s history or content for speeches and presentations. We are working to provide additional features in the upcoming fiscal year.
- In honor of the 150th anniversary of the first women admitted to DePauw University (three of the first four to graduate were Thetas), there is an exhibit in the Roy O. West Library on DePauw’s campus. View the virtual version of the exhibit on the heritage website at “First Women of DePauw”.

The Tragedy in Las Vegas: Theta shared an image extending condolences to everyone affected by the violence in Las Vegas on Sunday. If you know a sister needing some extra support, please be sure to remind her of Theta’s resources at www.sisterssupportingsisters.org, including the Talk One-2-One hotline at 800.756.3124.
Day of Service: We are just a few weeks away from Day of Service 2017! Look for a blog post and other promotion of this year’s event next Monday, Oct. 9. We will once again host the Day of Service Photo Contest, so be ready to send your best photos of Thetas spreading the widest influence for good to socialmedia@kappaalphatheta.org for consideration.
