Workforce Opportunity

The college district director (CDD) position in College District VII (South Carolina and Florida) is open as Ansley Howze transitions to Grand Council. If you are interested in the role, please submit a volunteer interest indicator. Recommendations and/or questions can be directed to College Committee Chair Mandy Womack or Associate Executive Director Katharine Murphy. Ansley will continue serving as CDD until her successor is appointed.

Theta Foundation’s 2026 Scholarship Application

Theta Foundation’s 2026 Scholarship Application will be available on the Theta website tomorrow!  

Last year, Theta Foundation awarded over $1 million in scholarship funding to nearly 450 Thetas: the largest amount of scholarship funding awarded in Kappa Alpha Theta’s history. This gave applicants over a 50% chance of receiving a scholarship. Theta Foundation is poised to award more than $1 million again during the 2026 application cycle! 

Theta collegians and alumnae who will pursue undergraduate or graduate/professional degrees during the 2026-2027 academic year are encouraged to apply. Please note that Theta Foundation scholarships cannot support Theta membership dues.

Theta Foundation Chapter & Individual Grants

There are two opportunities remaining to apply for Theta Foundation grant funding this year. The deadline for programs occurring this spring (on or after March 1, 2026) is Wednesday, Jan. 14, and the deadline for programs occurring this summer (on or after June 1, 2026) is Wednesday, April 15. College and alumnae members and chapters are eligible to apply for funding for educational, leadership, or service-learning opportunities that promote the widest influence for good. January Is Mentoring Month

January is Mentoring Month, and Kappa Alpha Theta wants to help members make important connections through mentoring. It’s vital that Thetas have the capability to share career advice, educational opportunities, and more, and a great way to do that is through a mentoring relationship. 

ThetaConnect provides Thetas the opportunity to find a mentor in many ways:

• Members can search the Directory and include specific needs in the search filters, such as Education, Company, Industry, and more.

• Members can visit the Mentoring area where suggested mentors are listed. Alumnae who have indicated in their profile they are Willing to Mentor appear here and potential mentees can search through multiple lists to find the right mentor.

• Throughout the year, Kappa Alpha Theta provides career-based mentoring programs.  

More mentor programs are being planned for 2026, so be on the lookout for future announcements!
