Applications for service on Theta’s governing boards are now open. Serving at the board level is a meaningful opportunity to help shape the future of our Fraternity and ensure Theta’s continued strength and relevance for generations to come.
The Board Service Application is now live and can be accessed via the Board Service page on the Theta website. There, you will find detailed information about board responsibilities, qualifications, timelines, and helpful resources to guide you through the application process.
Consider reading a recent thoughtful blog post on board service written by current Fraternity President Erica Ochs. Her reflections provide valuable insight into the impact and significance of board leadership.
If you have questions about the application process or would like to learn more about board service, please contact boardservice@kappaalphatheta.org.

Why Egencia? Theta staff members reviewed several travel booking platforms and selected Egencia. See the Igloo post for some of the reasons.

Earlier this week, the husband of the late former Fraternity President Amy Kates, Andy, passed away following a long and courageous battle with ALS. The Kates family has long been connected to Kappa Alpha Theta, and many members will remember Amy’s leadership and dedication to the Fraternity during her time of service.
Amy and Andy's daughter, Maggie Kates, was initiated into Tau Chapter at Northwestern University. Like many students navigating the challenges and conversations surrounding the 2021 Abolish Greek Life (AGL) movement, Maggie ultimately chose to resign from her membership. Even so, the bonds formed through Theta and the care we hold for one another extend far beyond membership status.
During this difficult time for Maggie and her family, Thetas have an opportunity to demonstrate the compassion and connection that define this sisterhood. A note of sympathy can serve as a meaningful reminder that she remains in the thoughts and hearts of many who share this common bond.
Those who wish to express condolences or share a message of support are invited to send a note to Maggie at the following address:
