Oral History Project Update: Remember the Black & Gold

As announced last fall, Kappa Alpha Theta has been working with PCI to collect Theta stories and update the contact information of our alumnae members. Alumnae received postcards and emails over the last six months from PCI about this project, along with an opportunity to pay voluntary alumnae dues, join Life Loyal, and/or purchase a compilation of the shared stories and several other items.  

Staff working on this project have reached the story collection phase! All stories are now being reviewed and selected for publishing in the book. The book’s publication date is expected to be February 2027. Stories not selected for publication will be kept by the Fraternity for future use and stored in the Theta archives. 

Because of this project, results as of Friday, May 8 include the following: 

• 1,189 members paid voluntary alumnae dues
• Five members joined Life Loyal
• 2,242 stories have been selected for publication (note that only a limited number of stories were chosen)
