The New York Times reviews the scope of state and campus-level efforts to strengthen regulation of Greek life—specifically fraternities. Pegged to recently passed legislation in Louisiana and to new campus-based guidelines at Louisiana State University, the article includes commentary from John Hechinger and Frank Nuwer, while detailing other incidents at Florida State and Penn State. The piece also references legislation introduced in Tennessee that would have banned fraternities altogether.
With the redesigned website and Member Portal, there have been questions on where to find workforce contact information. Many staff changes have led to questions on who does what. Good news; the resources are there for you! At the bottom of every issue of The Update, there is a helpful link listed to Workforce Contact Information (updated weekly). This is now easier to find in Igloo as well, where it is the first link under Quick Links on the Igloo home page. The Workforce Communication Guide is a concise table of who is responsible for different programs. It is always available in Igloo > Resources > Volunteer Resources. This resource is only for the workforce and should not be shared with any non-workforce Thetas.
The applications and application guides for 2018-19 Chapter and Individual Grants are posted on Theta’s Apply for Scholarships & Grants page. The Quarter 1 deadline is July 18 for programs beginning on or after September 1. Please direct any questions to Theta Foundation Programs Manager Mary Kate Kronzer.

No offense, but there ought to be a better way to find out who the district officer is for a particular district without scrolling through 42 pages of the workforce list. I checked the workforce communication guide and I guess I'll have to contact the specific staff officer to find that person's name. Yes, you can use the cliche' old dog, new tricks for me if you like.
