Under the incredibly heavy cloud of Amy Kates’ passing, Grand Council took the following action at its meeting Friday:

• Approved the move of Eta Kappa/John Carroll to the FHC;

• Adopted a revised investment policy statement;

• Revised the 2017 – 2018 budget approved in June; and

• Invited to membership three alumnae.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 8.

Several of you have already asked about memorial gifts. We understand that a fund for Amy’s children is being set up in New Orleans. When I have that information, I will share it with you.

I know you all are as eager as I am for Amy news. Unfortunately, I have nothing new to report. She remains in a coma, in ICU, and on a ventilator. Doctors continue to monitor and unexplained seizures. Thank you for keeping that family mailbox flooded!

Volunteer Opportunities and Changes

Did you know that in order to be considered for a volunteer position, whether it is a traditional role or not, every potential volunteer should submit a volunteer interest indicator (in the How Can I Volunteer? box) on the Theta website.
