Three students at Yale University have filed a class action lawsuit against the university and its fraternities alleging discrimination on the basis of sex, NBC Connecticut reported. The lawsuit also “alleges a hostile environment in terms of sexual misconduct and sexual harassment.” While the university’s fraternities are off campus, the lawsuit calls upon Yale to hold these organizations more accountable for their behavior.

All recipients preliminarily selected for a 2019 Theta Foundation scholarship must complete the acceptance process by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, May 31. Recipients who do not submit required documentation by the deadline will forfeit their awards. Fraternities and sororities will no longer be allowed on Swarthmore College’s campus following an announcement from President Valerie Smith on Friday.
