I’m sorry to share the news that Amy passed away this afternoon.  She took a bad turn late last night, and was taken off life support earlier today.  Services will be in New Orleans, probably late this week.  Official notice from Kappa Alpha Theta will be distributed Monday.  Please hold any social media outreach until then. I know you all are as eager as I am for Amy news. Unfortunately, I have nothing new to report. She remains in a coma, in ICU, and on a ventilator. Doctors continue to monitor and unexplained seizures. Thank you for keeping that family mailbox flooded!

I don’t have much of an Amy update this weekend. Unfortunately, she was not strong enough to leave ICU last week. So, she’s staying put for the time being.

As Tropical Storm Cindy gains strength in the Gulf of Mexico, so it seems that Amy does, too! Doctors hope to move her from the intensive care unit today or tomorrow. While it was a heart attack that landed her in the hospital, she’ll move to the neurology unit, and not cardiac care. This news brings with it lots of questions to which I simply have no answers. I promise to share information as it becomes available.
